Reclaimed Live Oak Beam ~ In Stock

This southern live oak timber was salvaged from a holding pond in Boston’s historic Charlestown Navy Yard. Harvested from the southern United States as shipbuilding components for the U.S.S. Constitution and other frigates, the timbers that were salvaged were nearly 500 years old.
 
We’ve pulled aside one piece that we think would make a great outdoor bench. In the first image shown here, the larger piece is still available.
 
Previous customers have used our live oak as pedestals, benches, and table bases. A few pictures are included here of pieces that have been finished.
