Unfinished Reclaimed Wood Tops
Often we find ourselves looking at small lots of salvaged wood that aspire to the woodworking transformation that will turn them into tops for small kitchen islands, counters, desk tops, shelves, and coffee tables. We craft these reclaimed boards into unfinished tops at our Berwick, Maine mill and then send them down to our Cambridge retail warehouse for both commercial and residential projects. The various options for finishing your wood top can result in dramatically different visual results. We leave that final step in your hands, so you can apply the finish that’s right for you.
Tops are made in several antique wood species, including: Rustic white pine, Heart Pine, Douglas fir, poplar, maple, white oak, skip-planed red oak, mixed woods, Northern Hard Pine, and redwood.
Please Note: Our inventory is constantly changing. The images on this page are a representation of the variety in species and the general style of tops we mill.
The bottom images shown here are pictures of our current inventory of reclaimed hemlock tops. One has a fantastic splatter pattern of green paint that remains on the boards from its last installation.
