Reclaimed Wood Benches ~ In Stock

We often have a selection of salvaged beam sections that we’ve set aside, thinking they would make great outdoor benches. Right now we have the following species available for viewing, sale, and pick up at our retail warehouse and showroom in Cambridge: Heart Pine, live oak, and spruce.
 
The spruce beams are shown in the first image. Later images show the squared-off rectangular Heart Pine bench and the curved live oak piece.
 
The southern live oak timber shown here was one of several salvaged from a holding pond in Boston’s historic Charlestown Navy Yard. Harvested from the southern United States as shipbuilding components for the U.S.S. Constitution and other frigates, the timbers that were salvaged were nearly 500 years old.
 
Previous customers have used our live oak as pedestals, benches, and table bases. A few pictures are included here of pieces that have been finished.
