High-quality solid metal sliding barn door hardware by Massachusetts manufacturer Acorn is now available for sale at Longleaf Lumber. For years, sliding track reclaimed wood barn doors have been a favorite project of our Boston-area customers. In an effort to make the planning, installation, and construction process easier for contractors, homeowners, and designers, our Cambridge showroom is carrying a variety of the barn wood door hardwares.
The metal hardware is available in both rough and smooth finishes with flat or rounded wheel carriers. Material choices include iron, stainless steel, or a powder coated finish in a variety of colors. The black iron finish is stocked as a matter of course, meaning mail orders ship in two-three business days. Other, custom finishes ship in approximately six weeks.
Tracks are 1/4″ by 2″ and run 5′ long, with 6′, 7′, and 8′ also available as standard lengths. The hardware handles door weights between 300 and 350 pounds. Additional spacers (also for sale) are needed to accommodate door thicknesses of over two inches. Kits include all parts necessary for installation, as well as printed instructions.
